What recruiters receive when you apply

On Piaar, you apply to a job by tapping I’m interested. The first time you do, Piaar asks whether recruiters may receive your details. Your answer covers that job and every job you apply to after it. You can change it at any time on your Account page, under Share details with recruiters.

Last updated: 9 October 2026 · Version 1.0

This page lists exactly what a recruiter receives, and who is responsible for what.

Who receives your details

The organisation that posted the job you applied to. Its name is on the job, and on the screen that asks for your agreement. Within that organisation, only the owner of its Piaar workspace sees who applied and can download the list.

Your details go only to the organisations whose jobs you apply to. Nobody else on Piaar receives them because you applied.

Today, every organisation that posts jobs on Piaar is based in Sweden. Before your details are shared with an organisation outside the EU or EEA, we will update this page to say which safeguards apply.

What they receive

In the app, the organisation sees your Piaar profile, as other members see it, and can message you.

In a downloaded file, the organisation receives one row for each person who is still interested in the job and still shares their details. It can choose one of three layouts (Piaar, HubSpot or Salesforce), and all three carry the same information. What your row contains depends on which version of the agreement you accepted.

If you agreed in app version 1.5.3 or later (agreement version 2):

The file also names the job you applied to.

If you agreed in app version 1.5.2 or earlier (agreement version 1): that screen listed your name, email, skills, match score and location. Your row contains only those: your name, email address, the skills you offer, your match score and your city. It does not contain your headline or the date you applied. You will not be asked to agree again. Updating the app does not change what you agreed to.

Never in the file: your phone number, your exact location, or any internal account identifier.

If you turn sharing off

You won’t appear in any new download. From then on, no file an organisation downloads contains anything about you. You also cannot apply to new jobs until you turn sharing back on. If you turn it back on, you appear again in new downloads for the jobs you are still interested in.

Piaar cannot take back a file a recruiter has already downloaded. Turning sharing off does not remove you from an organisation’s list in the app: to stop an organisation seeing you there, withdraw your interest in its job.

Who is responsible for what

Piaar decides what is shared and with whom. It shares your details only with your agreement, and only with the organisation whose job you applied to. It is responsible for that sharing. Piaar is operated by Saad Abdullah, trading as PiaarTech.

The organisation you apply to is responsible for its own use of your details once it has received them. That includes how it stores them, who it shares them with, and how long it keeps them. If you have a question about details an organisation already holds, ask that organisation. Its name is on the job.

Piaar shares your details on the basis of your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time on your Account page; withdrawing does not affect sharing that already happened. You can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), or to the data protection authority where you live.
